I am a 43 year old man and I currently weigh 410 lbs at 6′. I have multiple health issues from neuropathy, sleep apnea, severe depresseion to polychythemia vera. I feel drawn to try this. When I walk for any length of time my gout will flair up…will keep you posted.

Yes, you should do other cardio such as walking or riding a bike. To gain strength, flexibility and to become a healthy person are good goals to start out with. Keeping a steady Yoga practice will teach you to listen to your body and helps with emotional eating habits. Try keeping a food diary. Yoga practice and weight loss should be a life time goal.
