Freshman year in a week !!!?
OK so im starting highschool on the 24th and im just looking for some tips to help me get by. I have specifics id like to know about so help with what you can. Any advice is highly appreciated ! Besides the specifics any other tips would help(:
im a girl by the way, 14.
first day; is it hell ? honestly…….
what should i be aware of, any pranks or like typical things from the upperclassmen ?
what about getting there ? i live a walking distance,like a mile and a half, so should i walk with some friends or should i get a ride ?
lunch; its the 1st day, where the hell do i sit ?! Im sure ill have at least one friend i know in the class b4 lunch but if i dont, i plan on asking one of the classmates if they dont mind me crashing with them. sound okay ?
ohh and should i buy lunch or bring it ?
i kinda wanted to stick to this healthy diet i have going on so i was planning on bringing my own lunch after school was well on its way.
is that a no go ?
style; im pretty basic. skinny jeans and a cute tee. not too much makeup. just like mascara and some cover up. lip gloss maybe. will i make it past the criticism with that ?
popularity;basically every ones top priority. im a little a head of my game this yr so i’ve decided to really focus on schoolwork. i plan on having a future. but im not worried about popularity. i know all the freshman cheerleaders and most of the football team including upperclassmen. I know them pretty well too, like if i decide to hang out with their ‘clique’ ,if you will, they would gladly welcome me. thats a good thing right?
Bullies; theres always the upperclassmen assholes who decide to push the newbies around. im not one to get picked one. im pretty outgoing and i stay outa drama. im not gunna sit back and let some jerk make fun of me for whatever reason, im most likely going to speak up, i wouldnt wanna fight cuz id get beat down, lol, but what im trying to say is im going to speak up. should i stick with that or just ignore it ? it would be hell to keep quiet while they had their fun but if thats whats best then i guess thats what ill do.
Another thing, i tend to stand up for others at times. depending on how bad theyre getting it. bad idea ?
Guys; is it true that the upperclassmen hit on the freshmen only because theyre easy ? cuz itll be like," ohh this guy is in such grade and he wants me", right ?
also iv known this one guy for about 2 years. he lives a block behind me but we’ve never actually hung out. he says hi every time we come across each other and we talk on myspace every once ina while but thats basically it. should i talk to him next year ? if i see him that is. i mean he’s cute, i like him and he’s not very popular so i guess that wouldnt be totally outa my league lol but he’ll be a jr and ill be a freshmen, weird right ? i at least wanna be considered a friend. should i go for it or just let it go ?
backpacks; i know we’re getting books so i bought a backpack. no criticism on that right, or is that ‘not cool’ ? lol ohh and i got one with rainbow colored squares . now i look back on it and think, wrong move bt whatever i like it.

its not something i tell the world. like its not posted up on my myspace and most of my friends dont know but, thats because theyve never asked. its really not that big a deal though. its not like i check out every female that walks my way. i dont. its just, well i cant explain it, but lets just say im down with fooling around but im also down for a relationship. No one would expect it though. i dont seem like the type who rolls with the rainbow and i dont walk around saying ‘ hi im bi’ its just not my thing. but i do wanna get to know other girls. well that are bi. how am i suppose to let them know without it being sucha huge deal. like i dont wanna tell every chick i meet that im bi. what for ? ill look like some attention seeker which is totally not what im aiming for. soo …?

Ok, first of all freshman don’t get bullied/beat up just b/c they are freshman. They may not be liked by a lot of kids cuz they seem really immature. Bring a luch if u want, no one cares. Popularity doesn’t matter!!! Once you’re out of high school it all goes out the window… If anyone gives u a hard time just don’t say anything. Raise one eyebrow like ur showing them "wow, ur cool"… believe me, they want a reaction if they are picking on u so dont give them one. date whoever the hell u want. no one will judge u. The whole "bi" thing is tricky. I’m gonna be honest cuz I’m a dude and I know wat we think lol. If ur good looking and ur bi, guys won’t hold it against u. But if ur not good looking and one of those girls that try to look like a guy, then u will be made fun of. don’t tell the girls right away, only tell ur friends cuz girls are bitches and they’ll use it against u for some dumb reason. prolly a guy. FYI high school is NOTHING like wat u see on tv… just study and get ready for college cuz it comes fast. I’m gonna be a senior and junior year is by far the worst. good luck

the first day of school may seem horifying but its not. high school isnt as bad as everyone thinks. dont bring a backpack on the first day just carry a folder with you with paper and a pen and a purse once u start having books get a nice tote so you can put ur books in and use it as a backpack. yes the guys do hit on freshmen just to get in your pants if you wanna flirt fine but just dont fall on what they say to you sometimes its the real deals sometimes its not. there is not as many bullies but if someone older then u is bugging you just ignore it but if you feel like you have to say something then do it. it is a good thing that you know popular people but dont let it get into your head you should really focus on school especially freshmen year you could easily screw up. dont put too much makeup on your gonna looked all caked up what you said is fine i kno alot of girls who do that. try to find people in your class b4 lunch who have the same lunch eriod as you so youll go 2gether not alone and look like a loser. sit with some people you kno or if you dont kno neone then find some people u think youll get along with. theirs many people who r bi or gay in high school if i were you start out with finding a gay guy who can sorta help you you kno no offense to neone. if they have a cold lunch in your cafeteria then you should buy lunch but if you dont then you could easily bring lunch but if i were you i wouldnt

-Its not hell it jst sux if the Upperclassmen hassle u
-More then likely there will be sum pranks, lik at my skool da seniors tried to sell tickets to a "pool party on da 3 floor" then they lock you out when u get there hahahaha that was funny to of my friends fell for it
-i say dat u should get a ride just cuz u dnt wanna look sweaty from walking(people dont forget that sorta stuff,plus its always a good idea to get know da layout of da skool so u dnt get lost later on)
-for lunch i suggest u bring ur own food cuz the food at my high skool sux so yea…. and as far as where 2 sit you got da rite idea
-as far as what u wear its all up to u but it sounds pretty kool personally i always try my best not to look all dirty, but i then again dnt wanna look like i have ALL the best stuff (u get jacked)
-yea its a good thing jst try not to hang out wit da wrong crowd cu then u get branded by it(for example if u arrive late to 1 of ur classes and da teacher knows who u hang wit and they’re a bunch of delinquents they will assume that u were smokin weed or sumthing

-im sorry to say but sum times it is true sum upperclassmen do hit on da underclassmen for that reason but not all da time sum do hit on dat new people because they genuinely do like them
