Is there any weight loss benefit to eating more calories in the morning?

Is there an advantage to having a bigger breakfast as opposed to a bigger dinner…is it better to eat less as the day progresses? Do you burn more off?

You should eat more in the morning. When your body wakes up, it needs the proteins that you will get from breakfast to jumpstart your metabolism. If you don’t eat an adequate amount of food to start the day, you body isn’t going to burn an optimal amount of fat. Instead, the body is going to feast on your muscle mass for energy before it burns the fat. I’m a believer that you need to eat several small meals during the day, but I tend to make sure that I’m extremely health conscious in the morning. I usually start my day off with a protein shake, a bowl of cereal with low fat milk, and a piece of fruit. Then I make sure that I snack between breakfast and lunch before I ever feel any bit of hunger. I usually have a granola bar that is unsweetened. By keeping off the hunger, you’ll be more reluctant to overeat AND you will keep fueling your metabolism to burn of fat instead of muscle.

Calories are calories. You can eat at 10 at night and if you still used more calories during the day then you ate it’s not going to matter.
However, the PROBLEM with that is, as a general rule people that don’t eat all day (or very little) and then go to town in the evening time, tend to OVER eat.
It’s a much better idea to be consistent throughout the day and manage your calories instead of gorging and using them all at once.
Not to mention the fact if you don’t eat and keep your blood sugar at a decent level, when you DO eat your body will want to store what you ate and get energy from glucose. Read: sugar.
Just try and eat small portions throughout the day.. that’s definitely a safer way to go.

Yes, yes and yes…but still watch out for your total caloric consumption as well as your nutritional balance. A healthy breakfast within one hour of waking up gives you a metabolic boost. A large dinner at the end of your day when you are metabolically ramping down means more work.

Top 10 reasons to eat breakfast:
Breakfast restores sugar levels after up to 12 hours of not eating.
It is extremely difficult to get all of your necessary daily nutrients without breakfast.
Adults who skip breakfast are less mentally and physically efficient for longer periods during the day.
People who eat breakfast are more successful at losing weight and sticking to a diet.
Athletes who skip breakfast train less effectively.
Eating breakfast can raise metabolism by as much as 10 percent.
People who eat breakfast regularly are more likely to rate their health as "excellent" or "good."
Missing breakfast increases your chance of heavy machinery and factory accidents.
Eating breakfast has been shown to increase concentration.
Eating a bigger meal in the morning and a smaller meal at night optimizes your daily energy levels.

well for one if you eat a big breakfast then this will give you a full days supply of energy. A big dinner isn’t necessary since most people sleep at night and don’t need any extra energy. if you get a big breakfast then you are allowing your body time to burn off most of the calories throughout the day.

Having a larger breakfast, medium lunch and lite dinner helps reduce your weight because you have all day to burn theses calories and carbs off.

Where as if you have a large dinner you will be going to bed before you burn and that allows fatty in the tummy area and in my case everywhere else.

My doctor says if I get hungry after 6 have low fat/fat free yogurt or plain pop corn if I really need to chew. Have gone from VERY large to pleasingly plump by listening to him.

    Hi,

I’ve tried so many different diets in the last 10 years that I can say now, they don’t work!
A few months ago, I came across a great product for weight loss and like many others I was skeptical about it. But I really wanted to lose weight and I tried it. The results were excellent and I lost 20 pounds in 2 months. I felt fantastic and I dropped another 5 pounds safely. That’s why I recommend you check this product at
http://www.freelstore.info where they have a free trial and you only pay 6.95$ shipping and handling.
    Good luck!
